Servato Appoints James Lyons to its Advisory Board

Former GE Energy CTO Advising Company’s Product Strategy

NEW ORLEANS − March 7, 2016 – Servato Corp., a leading provider of energy management solutions, today announced the addition of Dr. James Lyons to its Advisory Board. Dr. Lyons is a well-respected technical advisor to the clean-tech investor community. Dr. Lyons was formerly Chief Engineer for Electrical Technologies at GE Research, serving as technology leader and mentor for a 250-member global team. He was a leading advocate for renewables within GE and corporate champion behind the formation of GE Wind Energy in 2002, which quickly grew to $8B in annual revenues. Dr. Lyons was also the technology leader during the creation of GE’s Digital Energy business unit.

Since 2008, he has served as chief technologist for the venture investment team at Capricorn Investment Group, one of the world’s leading clean-tech investors. Lyons has served on the boards of Powerex, the Electric Drive Trade Association and the US Offshore Wind Collaborative. He currently serves on the boards of Servato, Encell, Sunpreme, Kinestral, Helion, Norwegian Crystals, Navitas Semiconductor and Rayvio. He is a reviewer for the DOE and the National Science Foundation. Dr. Lyons received his BSEE from RPI, his MSEE from Virginia Tech and a Ph.D. in EE & CS from Cornell University. He holds 40+ patents.
